VoIP Services
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a technology that enables telephone service over a data network. Currently, Information Services uses Cisco VoIP for telephony services including telephones, voicemail and the Technology Contact Center's phone queue. If you would like to learn more about VoIP, please contact

VoIP
Features:
- Meet Me Conferencing is a virtual meeting place similar to a conference call. Meet Me conferencing enables users from within the University or outside the University to dial in and join a voice conference.
- To use this feature:
- Lift the handset and press the "More" key.
- Press "Meet Me"
soft-key.
- Choose and enter a meeting phone number between 64610-64619. As long as no one else is using that meeting number, you will be connected.
- Now, other parties can dial into that extension or the full 10-digit phone number (312-476-461x) and be connected.
- Extension Mobility enables a user to log into any VoIP phone at DePaul and make or receive calls using their own extension. This will be especially helpful to staff who travel between campuses. Contact
netconnect@depaul.edu for more information on using extension mobility.
- Soft phones are also available for staff to use in addition to or in place of their existing VoIP phone. A USB headset or handset attaches to your laptop, and you can use your VoIP soft phone from anywhere. This option is useful for staff who work at home and other locations. Contact
netconnect@depaul.edu for more information on using a soft phone.
