PC/Printer Repair Fee and Policy: A labor fee of $75 per hour (plus the cost of parts) is charged when assessing, repairing, and/or upgrading out-of-warranty computers and HP printers. There is no labor fee for servicing PCs or HP printers still under warranty. When the warranty is expired, equipment is more labor intensive and expensive to maintain. Therefore, an hourly fee becomes necessary for such equipment. University departments can avoid PC repair fees by replacing non-warranteed equipment through the PC Replacement Program. In this program, each PC is leased for a three-year period and is covered by warranty throughout the lease.
