FAQ's

Q. How can I add money to my card?
A. You can add money to your Demon Express account at Value Transfer Stations (VTS) located in the libraries and near the main computer labs, visiting the Cashiers Office in Lincoln Park and Loop Campuses and through Campus Connect.

Q. Is there a minimum requirement to open a Demon Express account?
A. An account can be started by depositing a $1.00 at a Vend Transfer Station or at the Cashier's Office.

Q. Why aren't these costs just included in tuition?
A. The university uses the Intelliprint system to equitably allocate the cost of printing to those students who benefit directly from the service since less than half of DePaul students make prints on university printers.

Q. If there is a problem with the printer, will I get a refund?
A. Yes. Please contact the Technology Contact Center (TCC) at Ext. 2-8765.

Q. Will the system be efficient for students in a hurry?
A. A goal of this project is to reduce the long lines for printing in the labs and other high-volume locations. This can be achieved by increasing the number of Intelliprint stations while at the same time, reducing the number of prints made.

Q. Is this system used at other universities?
A. Yes. Harvard, Marquette, UCLA, Berkely, Louisville, and Georgetown are among the many universities using the program.
